This move is expected to close in December and will make Cresco the top wholesaler of branded cannabis products. OrganiGram, another major player in the cannabis industry, has a five-year partnership with Canndoc, the largest producer of medical cannabis in Israel. Trulieve is Florida's largest medical cannabis company and holds a 51% market share in the state.
Tilray, another major cannabis company, has partnered with Sandoz, a subsidiary of Novartis, to share their brand, distribute, and sell medical cannabis in legal markets around the world. Innovative Industrial Properties is another major player in the cannabis industry. Unlike other cannabis giants that produce cannabis and cannabis-derived products, Innovative Industrial Properties focuses on selling and leasing land and facilities needed to grow those products. OrganiGram has a supply agreement with Canndoc that requires them to provide 3000 kilograms of dried flower products every year for sale in the Israeli medical cannabis industry.
Tilray was also the first Canadian company to export medical cannabis to the United States for clinical testing. Cresco Labs' acquisition of a rival will make them the largest cannabis company by revenue in the United States. This move will also make them the top wholesaler of branded cannabis products.
